Mayim Bialik talks Wonder Woman (with Chad, who hasn’t seen the movie yet)

“Wonder Woman” is a huge box office success and women (and men!) the world over are reacting strongly to its message of empowerment. But for some reason – he says he’s “busy” – Chad Jamian hasn’t seen it yet. Even worse – Chad doesn’t really know much about Wonder Woman at all!!

Mayim invited him over to explain the plot of the movie to him and to share her knowledge about Wonder Woman’s origins, her skills and her weapons/tools.

Although we have to admit, there are several things we wish Mayim had told him. Here are a few – and then it’s your turn! Tell us below, what else would you have told Chad about this incredible superhero or monumental film?

• Wonder Woman’s name is Diana – when she gets to London, she takes the name Diana Prince.
• On Themyscira (a.k.a. “the island of women”), Diana is trained by her aunt, Antiope (played by Robin Wright).
• The Wonder Woman character was created by William Moulton Marston, who wanted to create a create “a feminine character with all the strength of Superman plus all the allure of a good and beautiful woman.” He was in a relationship with two women, and created the systolic blood pressure test, which became one component of the modern lie detector test (polygraph).
• That he should read our previous post about Wonder Woman!
