Comment Policy

In 2015, Mayim Bialik founded Grok Nation as a place to foster deep discussion about the issues most important to her. To “grok” something means to understand it deeply. Whether we’re posting about faith, fashion, or food, we want to have meaningful conversations about it. We’d like to build a community here—a community that can help you change your little corner of the world. We want you to be apart of it. So, come in and chat with us.

That being said, every community needs rules. And here are ours…

  1. Watch your language! Anything that is vulgar, sexist, homophobic, racist, abusive or generally offensive will be removed. Ad hominem attacks on our stories’ subjects, writers or other commenters will not be tolerated.
  2. Stay on topic! It’s okay to go on tangents… within limits. If we feel the thread is veering too off topic, our moderators will gently nudge you back on course.
  3. Invest in the community! We will do our best to keep the conversations positive and engaging, but we don’t always see everything. If you see spam or other unacceptable comments, please flag them. (This doesn’t mean that you should flag or downvote things you don’t agree with or like—we welcome all views here and encourage you to stay open-minded with one another.)

We reserve the right to remove comments or users who flagrantly ignore the rules of our commenting policy.
